Changing styles

As you may well have noticed, especially if you have been following me for a while, is that my style in art is changing. I used to paint very detailed photo-realistic portraits, but whether it’s lack of time, or lack of interest, I’ve gone back to sketching, and more illustrative images. I’m probably not as good at it as I am at the portraits, but it is more satisfying to do.

Magic Tree Today, I’ve painted a tree. Hope you like. It’s sort of fairytale-ish and almost eerie. I started out just wanting it to be really creepy and horror like, but unsurprisingly, I am not capable of drawing anything remotely scary. I want to draw more in this style, and that’s where you come in. I’m looking for ideas, assignments, if you will. So, you can tell me what to draw! It’s like a commission, only you don’t have to pay for it!

I see some nice native american/pocahontas-style sort of thing… Or maybe some viking stuff, like a young maiden or similar…

I’ve never tried viking stuff before, I could try! And I like the Pocahontas idea because, well, the scenery is so awesome!
